I wonder how the luck mostly detertim
es, who wins on poker. If a suited flop turns, mostly 4th or 5th card will be same suit.
Also flops like 987 will likely turn into straight draws.
And it happens too often. Players also call even all-in with
1 card left to flush or straight and they mostly draw it.
It is really annoing, because probabli
ties are against them, but they still win. I can't say that I always lose in those situatio
ns. Someti
mes I win with luck, but it happens rarely. Second thing i wonder is about the players who raise all-in
with every hand. That happens mostly on tornado tourname nts. They raise all-in even with hands like 65.
Other players would say. call it.
But you never know, what turns to the flop.
If you call with AK, you have higher probabli
ty to win than th
e player with 65. But you can't base your tourname nt to that. Still you can lose 4 hands of 10.
But you've to call those all-ins sometime
s, because some players rise all-in continuo
usly. If they lose, they'll rebuy themselv
es back to the tourname
nt. The main point in this blog is, that luck really matters
on some occasion
s.
